Professor Robin Dunbar is a distinguished British anthropologist and evolutionary psychologist, best known for formulating Dunbar's number, a cognitive limit on the number of stable social relationships an individual can maintain. His research focuses on the structure and dynamics of human social networks, particularly the evolutionary role of language and social interaction. He has published extensive work on the size of the human neocortex and its correlation with group size. He currently holds the position of Professor of Evolutionary Psychology at the University of Oxford.
